Welcome to my weekly blog for 2024. My goal is to use the 5 Year Planner that I published to demonstrate and walk through my planning and goal setting process with you. Why? Because number one - I want to achieve my goals and number two - I want you to achieve yours.
So, I'll be using the weekly quote in the planner as the weekly blog topic and to explore what it means to me and what it might translate to as inspiration to you.
This week's quote hits home because there are certain things that I've struggled to achieve year after year and I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I seem to always have things like drink more water, get outside more, eat less sugar on my list, but I neglect to follow through..
I'm wishy washy in my true desire evidenced by how easily I am lured into unhealthy comfort zones and that sugar addiction is real! Then I fall into the cycle of the inner monologue that consists of a good dose of guilt and shame.
I've been successful before and I know I can do it again. Why is it so hard to just get started?
My commitment to this weekly blog is a very public way of sharing my planning processes and "My 5 Year Plan" that I've published as a tool for helping with that.
I hope that you find inspiration with or without purchasing one of the planners. My mission in life is to make good things happen and good things inevitably follow.
A year from now - future me will thank today me for starting this journey. She will have healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels. The fatty liver will have improved. She will be active and fit attributed to regular yoga practice and hiking. She will have an arsenal of healthy and tasty recipes to choke out the cravings for sugar and refined carbs. She will have improved her financial position while enjoying a creative lifestyle.
Picture yourself a year from now. What do you see? If it helps, draw, paint, or scrapbook images of your top two goals for yourself. Write those goals as a positive statement, such as - "I have a healthy body" or "I have a successful career in X".
Put your creation up somewhere that you will see it and repeat it to yourself every day. Ask yourself every morning what you will do to move even 1 millimeter toward your goal.
If you are a member of our Facebook Group, feel free to share your creations and/or thoughts and as always, you are welcome to comment here!
